One topic that never fails to pique interest in my person is my secondary education in New Zealand. Believe me when I say I've once had an entire table that had four other conversations all come to a halt as soon as I quietly stated I attended high school in NZ. It was an enlightening, condensed period of my life that otherwise would have had me experiencing a straight-forward American high school experience, so I shall always be grateful for the chance to make such an indelible memory. (However, this might explain my obsession with vintage letterman jackets...)
As you can imagine, being uprooted from one's home in the middle of adolescence isn't the happiest thing in the world. There are ups and downs to every major move in one's life -- and I don't believe anybody who says that a physical move was "flawless". That said, I expand on this period over at Twenty in Paris once more. Give it a read to learn more about how a life change was a blessing in disguise for my attitude to the future!
And of course, I wish the happiest and warmest of holidays to one and all. While we are all indulging on eggnog and candy canes as chestnuts roast upon that fire, keep an eye out for St Nick on his holiday hustle!
